Time to Stand Up to the Broadcom Bullies!
Broadcom is bulldozing Europe’s sovereign cloud capability. Its brutal imposition of unfair, unjustified and unsustainable licence changes is decimating the European cloud service provider ecosystem, raising costs and eliminating choice for customers.
CISPE has stood up to Broadcom since it began to unilaterally impose these changes, raising the issue
with the Commission directly as well as challenging the original acquisition approval in the EU General Court.
CISPE asks Commission to Act
CISPE has filed a complaint calling for interim measures from the European Commission to halt the ongoing, drastic and irreparable harm to Europe’s sovereign cloud capability.
At a minimum, CISPE is calling for interim measures that:
- Freeze the termination of the Broadcom partner program;
- Restore the program to more workable and reasonable commercial conditions; and
- Maintain those conditions for a transitional period of three to five years, allowing affected companies sufficient time to adapt or transition away from the relevant software solutions.
Join The Campaign
The European Commission (DG COMP) is already sending Requests for Information (RFI) directly to affected companies. This is critical assessing whether the legal conditions under EU competition law are met for the adoption of interim measures and a significant step in investigating Broadcom’s anti-competitive and destructive behaviour. Don’t miss out on your chance to influence this important case.
